Buffalo ReUse:
- Picks up materials from your home or business at no charge and can offer you a tax deduction letter for the value of the materials.
- Accepts drop-offs of materials at our ReSOURCE Store.
- Offers estimates for the removal of kitchen cabinets, fixtures, etc. prior to a renovation project in your home or business. Depending on the items, this service is sometimes done at no charge to you.
- Performs gutting and interior demo
- Salvages materials from abandoned buildings prior to your contractor’s demolition.
Our sole criterion in accepting salvage materials is if we can resell it in our ReSOURCE store. Here’s a partial list of materials we’re looking for:
- Appliances - less than 5 year old stoves, microwaves, A/C, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer in good working order
- Baseboard heaters
- Breaker boxes and components - power supply boxes, meter bases, mast
- Cabinets - kitchen or bath uppers and base with no water damage
- Ceiling tile - 2′x2′ or 2′x4′ panels, white grid
- Chimney pipe - insulated, b-vent, single wall
- Counter tops - straight sections, standard size
- Doors, wood and metal - entry, interior, or screen; hollow core only if in good condition
- Doors with glass - “French”, sliders (with all pieces)
- Doorknobs, old or modern with parts/key; older mortise locksets (missing parts okay)
- Electrical - outlets, switches, boxes, conduit, surface mount, wire, phone jack, thermostat
- Fasteners - nails and screws sorted in boxes
- Faucets - with all parts
- Fencing - Wood or metal, posts, panels, rails
- Fireplace mantles - with all pieces
- Furnaces and space heaters - wood, propane or gas, good working condition
- Garage doors - insulated metal with tracks
- Gardening - shovels, rakes, wheelbarrow, axe, pruners, hoses, terracotta pots, plants
- Granite, Marble, Stone, or Brick
- Hand tools - all types modern or collectable
- Hardwood floor - tongue and groove intact
- Insulation - fiberglass, clear plastic bagged; rigid foam; or cellulose bagged.
- Lighting - wall, ceiling, chandelier, utility, Christmas, yard
- Lumber- 1×4x6 or greater, 2×4x6 or greater, beams
- Medicine cabinets - no rust or mirror fogging
- Molding - crown, picture, baseboard longer than 6 feet
- Paint - new or mis-tint cans, white preferred, polyurethane varnish
- Paint accessories - roller handle, trays, brushes
- Pipe - copper, PVC, and ASB longer than 3 feet, fittings
- Plumbing - valves, fittings, faucets, shower control s
- Plywood - larger than 2×4 feet including multi-ply, chipboard, OSB
- Power tools - saws, sanders, drills, woodworking equipment
- Radiator - steam and hot water
- Roofing - metal, drip edge, tar paper, bitathane, full asphalt bundles
- Sheetrock - minimum 4×4, prefer 4×8 flat and dry
- Shower stalls - fiberglass or plastic with all parts
- Shutters, wood or plastic - with all louvers present
- Siding - wood, vinyl, cement, metal
- Sink, stainless, enameled cast iron, enameled metal, slate, soapstone
- Sink, bath - wall-hung, single vanity top, pedestal
- Screen/Storm doors - with all panes and screen
- Storm windows - triple track, panes in good working order, prefer with screen; old-fashioned wooden sash
- Tile - new, floor or wall, ceramic, slate, composition (no adhesive)
- Toilets - white low flush or lids only
- Tools - hand and power in safe working condition
- Towel bars, grab bars - bath accessories in good condition
- Tubs - claw foot, fiberglass, cast iron, metal
- Trim - window and door longer than 6 feet
- Vanities - with counter, no water damage
- Vinyl flooring - new 5×8 or larger rolled with size marked
- Vinyl siding - uncut pieces greater than 500 square feet
- Water heaters - less than 3 years old
- Windows - double pane fixed or moving with or without jambs, single paned sashes
- Wire and cable - phone, data, bell, speaker, romex, 6–16 ga
