Buffalo ReUse calls WNY artists and artisans with a greenheart!

Buffalo ReUse invites all WNY artists and artisans to imagine new lives for salvaged architectural materials by creating functional or non-functional art objects for the exhibit. Any artwork incorporating architectural treasures or salvaged building materials will be considered for exhibition. Works in all media, 2D/3D–or BEYOND are welcome. The objective of the exhibit is to encourage people to re-interpret salvaged material as ReArt!

Buffalo ReUse is committed to reducing building materials that end up in our local landfills. We are celebrating our 1st year anniversary with an Art Exhibition and party opening on Thursday, October 18, 2007. The exhibition runs through November 4, 2007 at Gallery 141B on Elmwood Ave.

Important Dates:
Sept 29th Final day to email your image submissions
Oct 1st Notification via e-mail of works accepted
Oct 15/16 Drop off artwork at Gallery 141B Elmwood 5 – 7 PM
Oct 18th Party & ReArt Opening Reception at Gallery 141B 7-10pm
Nov 5/6 Pick up dates for unsold artwork 5 – 7 PM

HOW TO SUBMIT ENTRIES:
1. Submit images of up to 5 works for consideration via e-mail/jpg
(please constrain jpg images to less than 2 megs per image). At least one work from each entrant will be included in the exhibition.
2. Each entry must include a completed entry form on-line at (www.buffaloreuse.org) Include medium, dimensions, and your contact information. Please use your surname along with the title of your work in the jpg file name [Example: D_Champ_fountain.jpg]
E-mail entry images to: art {at} buffaloreuse(.)org
3. $20 nonrefundable entry fee is required to offset the costs associated with this public event. Please pay using Paypal (www.buffaloreuse.org), check, money order, or cash in US currency payable to Buffalo ReUse.
