48 star flag. Born July 4th, 1912. Passed away on Jan. 3rd, 1959 with the addition of Alaska.
This flag was official for 47 years, longer than any other flag. Eight Presidents served under this flag. Can you name them???
The flag in the picture is one of two we found. Look like they were furled and wrapped up in the 40s or 50s. Excellent condition cotton flags, sewn stripes, printed stars (48).
They’re on display in the “museum” section of the ReSOURCE.
