I saw some amazingly beautiful compost a couple weeks ago in an Earth Day demonstration at Buffalo ReUse. The compost was dark brown and crumbly and pure, with almost no soil mixed in.

Buffalo ReUse extends congratulations to Devin Crowle who won a scholarship from UB School of Management – sponsored by Target – for her volunteer experience with Buffalo ReUse. Devin spent over 60 hours with us as Marketing Intern. Devin was an integral part of the success ReUse had at the Buffalo Home & Garden Show and also at our most recent Earth Day E-Waste Recycling Day!! Thank you Devin!

34TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LATIN AMERICAN CULTURAL ASSOCIATION
You are cordially invited to celebrate with us
On Saturday April 30th at 6pm the 34th Anniversary of the Latin American Cultural Association located at 114 Elmwood Ave.
Old friends and supporters will be gathering to celebrate the achievements of L.A.C.A. with an informal potluck dinner (bring your favorite dish to pass or dessert) and we will provide wine, sodas, teas, other beverages and special desserts.
Music for dancing will be provided by Blue Collar Dreamer a folk/rock World Beat group and the famous Marimba Band with infectious Latin and World Beat rhythms. We will also have a 50/50 raffle and a special door prize and other surprises.
A donation of $25 helps support the work of L.A.C.A. and its store El Buen Amigo which sells handmade arts and crafts of
Latin and Central America with all the profits going directly
back to the crafters to support them and their artistic traditions, and the inclusiveness with the WNY communities.
Pre-reservations would be appreciated to gauge a response for seating to guarantee you have seat for this wonderful event.

Through the El Buen Amigo Fair Trade Outreach Project we sell our hand made Fair Trade crafts and artwork at churches, schools, conferences and other local and national venues throughout the year. This Project provides vital income to artisans and farmers around the world, with all the profits going directly back to the artisans and crafters.
El Buen Amigo would like to sell our Fair Trade crafts and artwork at any upcoming church services or events. Any support you can give us would greatly appreciate it. If you allow this we will make a donation to your church. If you pick up and sell our craft at your church we will donate 10% of the sales to you.
We also have an interesting Cultural Outreach program for children and also for the whole family. It includes the history of Latin culture, its’ art, customs, music, games for children and more.
